Deliverables
- Logistics and site design for Opening and Closing Ceremonies venues in 9 markets, from Soldier Field to Golden Gate Park
- Management of ceremony vendors, including audio, video, staging, tents, tables and other rentals
- Develop ceremony concept, script, music and video backdrops
- Interview and script breast cancer survivors in each market
- Stage manage ceremonies on-site
- Create and manage interactive show at campsite in each market
- Consult on overall “participant experience”
By the Numbers
- Foresight and experience to design a site plan where thousands of walkers can arrive to drop off their gear, eat breakfast and experience the Opening Ceremony all by 6:30am – and then switch it all over to welcome them back the next day after their 39.3 mile journey.
- Ability to make breast cancer survivors feel at ease on stage and to tell their stories in their own words while motivating the audience
- Sense of humor to create an interactive game show at the campsite that makes participants laugh, cheer and learn about the Avon Foundation for Women’s mission
- A deep understanding of the client and the mission after seven years of partnership
